happy birthday to screenwriter kay patterson, scriptchic

My Birthday Bliss

Ah, Heaven.

Waking to another birthday. I won’t say how old I am, but I will tell you how I like to start my birthdays.

No matter how old you are, everyone deserves to be pampered on their birthday.

For me – it’s bubble bath time. A little time spent behind a locked door, luxuriating in a hot tub of bubbles and scented water. And, aside of a good book or script to read, I must have candles and coffee.

My favorite coffee? In order of preference: Hawaiian Kona,Kenyan AA, Sumatra, and French Roast. All light on cream. Without extra sugar. Too early in the day for wine.

I like Eucalyptus or Lavender scented bubble liquid and bath salts. Plump, fresh towels and lit votive candles.

My bath water must be hot. Not scalding, lobster hot. But hot enough to last for a good, long soak.

No music. No timer. No rush to do tasks or chores.

The books I read are all about screenwriting and crafting stories. The scripts I read are either my own work in progress that I’m editing, or those of my favorite movie or TV shows.

Everyone in the house knows not to disturb my Birthday Bliss.

It’s my time. My birthday.

My Happy Birthday To Me.

How do you pamper yourself on your birthday? if you don’t, you should.
