So pleased to learn that my short horror script, The Allure of Black Fish, is officially selected for Script Summit 3.
The script was created for a 5-Day Mash-Up Challenge in April sponsored by FilmFesto. My challenge was to mashup elements of 2 genres: Sports and Horror/Thriller. My script made the Top 20 List in that contest.
Script Summit 3 will be held this fall, Sept 17th – Sept 20th at the Emagine Theater in Royal Oak, Michigan. The Summit is hosted by screenwriter-author Geoffrey D. Calhoun, and the crew at WeFixYourScript.com.
Last year the Script Summit was held in Las Vegas; and my feature-length thriller, Lineage, won 1st Place, Best Over All. It was a thrilling night of surprises. An event I will never forget.
Finalists for this year’s Script Summit will be announced on August 10th.
For now ~ my fingers are crossed. I’m smiling and giddy with anticipation.
Finalist or not, I will be attending the event in September!
