Where’s that 6 foot bunny? Hope he’s hoping over to my house. I could use a basket of cheer this Easter.<\/p>\n

Easter Baskets, Bonnets, and Dresses.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

We didn’t color eggs this year, but I did create a Easter basket of candy and goodies for my 8-year-old granddaughter, Sophia. I limited the candy, like a good Grammy.<\/p>\n

Easter was always a happy holiday in our family. We always donned colorful Easter dresses, fancy shoes, and attended church.<\/p>\n

Only when we returned from church were we allowed to hunt for our Easter baskets – the ones the Easter bunny hid for us in the coat closet, behind the sofa, in the oven, or outside by our back door.<\/p>\n

That was back when I was a kid. Back then, our baskets were primarily candy and colored eggs.<\/p>\n

Nowadays, it’s easier to mix healthy treats in kids baskets. Easter clothes are still primarily dresses, spiffy outfits. Little girls seldom wear bonnets. Boys seldom wear ties.<\/p>\n

We still go to church on Easter Sunday.<\/p>\n

Rejoice! Jesus Has Risen. Hallelujah!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

The Easter bunny still hides Easter baskets We video our granddaughter’s “hunt” for hers with our smart phones.<\/p>\n

The day is full of fun and giggles. Easter Ham sits beside scalloped potatoes. Cool Whip and ice cream top our pies and pudding.\u00a0 Mom receives flowers.<\/p>\n

We watch Jimmy Stewart in, Harvey<\/em>, as he tries to convince everyone he meets his 6 foot bunny friend is real. Love that movie!<\/p>\n

If you haven’t seen it, do yourself a favor and watch it. Feel like a kid again.<\/p>\n
