Just got an email announcing my horror short, The Allure of Black Fish<\/em>, is an Official Selection for this year’s HollyShorts Screenwriting Contest and Film Festival<\/strong>!<\/p>\n

Yipee!<\/p>\n

HollyShorts is an Academy Awards Qualifying Film Festival.<\/p>\n

Due to covid, the 16th Annual HollyShorts Film Festival will be virtual, debuttng the best short films from across the globe along with star-studded panels and other special events. All films and panels will be streamed on Bitpix, which is accessible on over 1000 devices including streaming media boxes such as Roku, Apple TV, and Chromecast as well as iOS, Android, MAC, and PC devices.<\/p>\n

As sn Official Selection, my script is a quarter finalist. Semifinalists will be announced on September 25th, and finalists on October 9th.<\/p>\n

It will be held Nov 9th – 15th, 2020.<\/p>\n

The Awards Show will be streamed free on Bitpix on November 15, 2020. The top 3 screenplays will be announced\/awarded during the HollyShorts awards ceremony on November 15, with the winning script receiving a $10,000 production deal courtesy of Seattle film Summit.<\/p>\n
